Pokhara all set with preparation for new year

Pokhara is overrun with both domestic and foreign visitors as the New Year celebrations get ready. Pokhara’s central region is hosting three distinct events. Both international and Nepali tourists have been drawn to the nation’s biggest street event, which is organized by REBAN of Kaski. Now in its 26th year, the festival near Phewa Lake, which goes by the theme “Let’s Eat and Enjoy on the Street,” has established itself as a mainstay for New Year’s celebrations. According to REBAN President Bishworaj Paudel, the event has introduced both local and foreign visitors to Pokhara’s natural and cultural splendor. Additionally, the worldwide Hot Air Balloon Festival has attracted national and worldwide interest.

17 hot air balloons from 15 different nations have sailed over Pokhara during the hot air balloon festival. On Monday, the Gurung community commemorated Lhosar with a number of events. The community, which is primarily from the Gandaki area, has been promoting Pokhara both domestically and abroad by celebrating Lhosar as the New Year. Dhanraj Acharya, the mayor of Pokhara Municipality, stated that the city’s status as the tourism hub was being significantly aided by these local initiatives.
