Oath-Taking Ceremony Held for Newly Elected Lawmakers
Newly elected members of the House of Representatives have officially taken their oaths of office and secrecy in a ceremony held at the Parliament’s temporary building in Singha Durbar. The solemn event was led by the senior-most member, Arjun Narsingh KC, who administered the oaths. Notably, 63 lawmakers opted to take the oath in their native languages, deviating from the national language, Nepali, as facilitated by the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The lawmakers arrived at the ceremony dressed in their traditional attire, reflecting their cultural backgrounds and identities as they embarked on their legislative roles.
