NTB organise a Peace Festival

The Lumbini International Peace Festival will be organized by NTB starting on Friday. The event is being organized in cooperation with MoCTCA and the Chinese Embassy in Nepal. According to the NTB, the festival will be held in Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and neighboring cities from March 22 to May 11. In addition to promoting cultural, athletic, religious, and interpersonal interactions between Nepal, China, and other countries, the festival seeks to establish Lumbini as a major global hub for peace and spiritual tourism. To commemorate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, the third Lumbini International Peace Marathon will take place on March 24.
A Buddha ordination ceremony, a photo exhibition honoring Zhong Hua Monastery’s 25th anniversary, and the Lumbini Peace Musical Programme are just a few of the events planned for the festival. On Buddha Purnima, there will be a special closing ceremony to wrap up the celebration. The Lumbini Development Trust, the Nepal Olympic Committee, the Yunnan Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Association, KGH Group, Vivo, Deepal, and Buddha Air, among other domestic and foreign partners, will support the event. According to the CEO of the NTB, the Festival’s second iteration symbolizes Nepal’s dedication to fostering intercultural dialogue and peace.
