New ride-hailing app Yango empowers Kathmandu drivers with earnings up to Rs. 4,000 daily

Nepal’s urban transportation landscape is witnessing a digital revolution with the rising adoption of ride-hailing platforms. Among the latest entrants, Yango Ride has quickly made its mark, enabling local drivers to earn up to Rs. 4,000 daily while offering greater flexibility and financial independence.

The app, which collaborates with local transport companies, has gained traction among drivers for its user-friendly interface and attractive daily bonuses. Sanjip Rai, a full-time driver with Dosti Ride, said he earns between Rs. 2,500 and Rs. 3,000 per day and has fully shifted to Yango: “If things continue like this, I’ll stick with Yango for a long time.” Fellow rider Kiran Rai echoed this sentiment, highlighting Yango’s incentive system.

Tej Kumar Lama described Yango as a flexible income source, often making Rs. 3,000–4,000 by completing 16 trips daily. Part-time driver Anil KC also earns around Rs. 1,500 daily, comfortably covering his daily expenses. In Nepal, including Kathmandu and Pokhara, over 125,000 drivers now rely on ride-hailing platforms. Yango’s entry has not only intensified competition but also opened new economic avenues for drivers, particularly in the growing Nepal market where digital mobility solutions are gaining popularity and trust.
