Nepal Signs Hydropower Export Deal with India
Nepal has signed a major agreement with India to export 10,000 MW of hydropower over the next decade. The deal is expected to generate billions in revenue for Nepal while helping India meet its clean energy targets.
Nepal’s Energy Minister said the agreement marks a “new era of economic cooperation.” Indian officials welcomed the move, noting that cross-border power trade strengthens regional integration.
For Nepal-based coverage, this is a breakthrough in energy diplomacy; for Indian media, it’s a step toward greener energy security and stronger bilateral ties.
