Nepal facing the coldest day of 2024 till now

Today was the coldest day of the year in the Kathmandu Valley. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Meteorological Forecasting Division reports that today’s lowest temperature in Kathmandu has fallen to 2 degrees. In Kathmandu, the lowest recorded temperature was 3.1 degrees. The division’s temperature report, which was made public at 8:45 AM today, states that Jumla’s lowest temperature is minus 7.2 degrees countrywide.
Although the country is now experiencing westerly breezes, the weather is mostly clear across it. According to the department, fog is present in various areas of the Terai. According to the advisory issued this morning, the country will see mostly good weather. Additionally, Saturday afternoon will be mostly clear across the remainder of the country and partly overcast in Koshi Province’s mountainous regions.
