Local cattle producers will receive a 75% subsidy from Faktanglung

Taplejung Faktanglung Rural Municipality is prepared to launch a yak promotion initiative. The remote municipality’s livestock farmers will receive a 75% subsidy as part of the yak promotion scheme. 25% of the costs would be borne by the benefit farmers chosen to take part in the yak promotion initiative, according to Rajan Limbu, chairman of the rural municipality.

He claims that the Procedure for Operating Livestock and Fisheries Development Programs 2081 is using the money that was sent to the province and local levels during the current fiscal year 2081–2082 to carry out the yak promotion program. According to the rural municipality, the yak promotion program would be operated with a budget of 800,000 rupees for the current fiscal year. The rural municipality will run this program to support yak farmers who have been relocating recently, according to Chairman Limbu.

The Sirijangha Rural Municipality has previously started a program to promote yaks. Yak farmers are found throughout the district, which consists of eight rural municipalities and one municipality. This is particularly true in the municipalities of Faktanglung, Sirijangha, and Mikwakhola.
