In Nawalpur, senior folks receive social allowances at home

Social security allowances are now distributed door-to-door in Madhyabindu Municipality-14, reducing the difficulty faced by elderly citizens in reaching banks. The initiative aims to improve public service delivery by distributing allowances to the elderly, alleviating their burden of traveling to the bank. The 84-year-old Sher Bahadur Thapa Chhetri expressed his happiness at receiving the allowance at home. Similarly, 62-year-old Shanti Darlami, who used to wait in a huge line at the bank, said she was excited. Ward Chairperson Darlami went on to say that the difficult topography of the area led to the decision to disburse allowances at home. Currently, 284 senior citizens in Ward No. 14 are eligible for the allowance. On the appointed dates, the ward office intends to go on with the distribution on a regular basis.
