Heavy rain possible in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim

Agency: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast generally cloudy skies across Nepal today and tonight, with scattered moderate rainfall in several provinces.

For today, moderate rain is likely in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while heavy rainfall is possible at one or two locations in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim.

For tonight, the country will remain mostly cloudy. Moderate rain is expected in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, with a few showers elsewhere. Heavy rain may occur at isolated spots in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki.

The Kathmandu Valley is likely to remain generally cloudy with intermittent rain this afternoon, with a maximum temperature of 26–28°C and around 30% chance of rain. Tonight, conditions will stay cloudy with rain, the minimum temperature ranging from 22–24°C, and a 40% chance of rainfall.

The DHM stated that the monsoon trough currently lies near its average position, sustaining the rainy conditions nationwide.
