Hattisar Museum taking a historical importance
Situated in Makawanpur’s Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-6, the Rana-era Hattisar Museum is a historically significant location that was once the hunting ground of Rana Prime Minister Jung Bahadur Rana and British Queen Elizabeth II. Hunting basins used by the Rana dynasty, including Jung Bahadur Rana, and Queen Elizabeth II of Britain during her visit to Nepal are on display at the museum.
The museum preserves the hunting history between Rana Prime Minister Jung Bahadur Rana and the British Queen Elizabeth II at the time. The Elephant House contains forty-two elephant basins, including four hunting basins used by Queen Elizabeth of Britain and caged basins used by Jung Bahadur Rana.
