Gold price surpasses Rs 260,000 per tola

Gold prices in Nepal continued their upward momentum on Monday, setting yet another historic milestone. The price of gold rose sharply by Rs 1,900 per tola compared to the previous day. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold is now being traded at Rs 260,700 per tola, marking the highest rate ever recorded in the domestic market.

This new peak comes just a day after the previous record was surpassed. On Sunday, gold was priced at Rs 258,800 per tola, breaking the earlier record of Rs 258,000 per tola that had been set on Asoj 31. The consistent rise highlights the strong demand and ongoing volatility in precious metal prices.

Silver prices have also followed an upward trend. The price of silver increased by Rs 45 per tola, reaching Rs 3,870 per tola on Monday. A day earlier, silver had been trading at Rs 3,825 per tola. Notably, silver had already touched its all-time high of Rs 3,905 per tola last Friday.
