From riverbanks to resorts!

On the hills of Benighat–Bahunatar in Dhading, a boy grew up more captivated by the Trishuli River than by his schoolbooks. While classmates stayed in class, he would hide his bag and rush to the river, drawn to lessons nature quietly offered. For Udhav Kadel, the river became his first teacher, shaping his spirit long before life did.

Time passed, but his bond with the river remained. After completing Grade 12, Udhav went to Europe to study hotel management. There, through long hours and unfamiliar hardships, he learned discipline, empathy, and the value of hard work. He realized that dreams are not created by places, but by courage. More than money, he learned how to become a better human being.

Despite doubts from others, he returned to Nepal, choosing the uncertain path of rafting. What began with a few boats grew into a respected adventure business. Udhav trained local youth, supported farmers, and built tourism with the community. He later expanded into hospitality, creating Trishuli Riverside Resort and Trishuli Villa, even investing during the COVID-19 crisis.

His journey shows that returning home with skills and courage can turn challenges into possibilities, just as the river continues to flow forward.
