Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar inaugurate Literature festival

The inaugural Magar Literature Festival was launched in Butwal by Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar. Deputy Speaker Rana, who spoke during the opening ceremony, emphasized the festival’s significance in bringing Magar literature to the community and noted that the Magar people doesn’t participate in many literary events. She expressed joy at the Magar women’s enthusiastic involvement in the event and emphasized the important role the Magar community plays in the nation’s democratic efforts. According to her, the Magar community has been essential to all of Nepal’s democratic movements. Nowadays, the community’s role in preserving democracy is just as crucial.

The festival’s contribution to the preservation of the Magar language and culture was commended by Khel Raj Pandey. As part of its attempts to preserve local traditions, he said, the city has released a citizen’s charter in the Magar language. The Nepal Magar Women’s Association, Rupandehi, is organizing the event with the goal of educating attendees about the history, literature, and language of the Magar people. Poetry recitation contests, art exhibits, book displays, ancient artifact presentations, and the exchange of research papers on a range of subjects are some of the events it offers. Poetry recitation contests, talks about Magar literature, and honoring Magar literary luminaries are all part of the event. Magar authors, painters, and other notable figures from all around the nation have participated in the event, which highlights the rich literary and cultural legacy of the Magar people.
