Cement factory are almost closing it’s business
Shortage of locally manufactured clinker, 13 of Koshi State’s cement factories are experiencing an operating problem. With the exception of Udayapur Cement factories Ltd. in Jaljale, Udayapur, and Nigale Cement Private Limited in Sindhuwa, Dhankuta, other factories only make cement after clinker grinding. Due to the high cost of purchasing clinker, some industries have shut down or are on the verge of doing so.
The production of Nepal Ultratech Cements Pvt ltd Morang and Annapurna Cement in Morang is closed, and there are four in Morang, eight in Jhapa, one in Sunsari, one in Udayapur, and one in Dhankuta in Koshi province.The cost of grinding by importing clinker has increased, making it harder to compete with others, and the cement sector has reached a point of closure. The government has ignored the demands of cement industry operators of the grinding mill since 21 cement factories in the nation produce their own clinker and are able to fulfill demand.
