Ayurvedic medicine will be produced at Manmohan Technical University
Manmohan Technical University plans to produce ayurvedic medicines for diabetes treatment, according to Vice Chancellor Dr Subashshree Pokharel. The university is conducting research on diabetic treatment using local medicinal herbs. During the current academic year, the institution is conducting research on ten different areas. Of the ten studies, bacteriophage and diabetes treatment are given top priority. Ayurvedic medicine is being researched for a number of additional ailments.
The technical university was founded by the Koshi Province government in 2076 BS. However, the region’s first technical institution has voiced dissatisfaction about the province government’s insufficient budgetary allocation. Pokharel claims that despite demands for the state government to pay Rs 370,000 for the upcoming fiscal year, only Rs 140 million was allotted to the Manmohan Technical University. He expressed the predicament, saying it was concerning that it accounted for 0.5 percent of the province’s overall budget.
