A foreign returnee uses talents acquired overseas to start fish farm

Kamal Tamang, a commercial fish farmer from Bhangeri, Bhojpur, has used his foreign employment skills to launch an entrepreneurship, aiming to inspire others to join the farming industry. Tamang, a five-year-old foreign returnee, has successfully launched a commercial fish fry business in his locality, citing the potential for significant income in Malaysia. Tamang anticipates that the fish farming will yield a satisfying profit. In addition, he intends to expand his business by raising chickens and pigs. The overseas returnee anticipates earning between Rs 800,000 and Rs 1 million annually.
The price range for fish raised in upland ponds is between Rs 650 and Rs 700 per kilogram. Shailendra Karki, the chairman of ward number six, reported that the local government had supported young people who were eager to start their own businesses. Commercial activity in the farm sector has been stimulated by local incentive schemes. The municipality offers support to young people who develop business ideas. Karki stated that it would be simple to market the products—fish, vegetables, and cash crops—because this local level is close to the district headquarters.
