Prachanda Urges Long-Term Rehabilitation Alongside Flood Relief

Nepali Communist Party (NCP) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has called for permanent reconstruction and rehabilitation in flood-affected areas alongside immediate relief efforts.

During an on-site inspection of flood-hit areas in Galchhi Rural Municipality of Dhading, Dahal said the floods had caused significant loss of life and property. He stressed the need to focus on both temporary arrangements and long-term rebuilding to restore affected communities.

Dahal said the NCP had launched rescue, relief and management efforts immediately after the disaster and mobilised party leaders and cadres to assist affected residents. He added that subsequent meetings were held to assess the post-disaster situation and coordinate further relief work.
