Creating an orange garden model in action

A total of 17,500 plants were distributed to farmers in the Ichhakamana Rural Municipality in Chitwan. Orange saplings have been distributed to farmers in wards 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 by the Rural Municipality’s Agriculture Section as part of the orange promotion campaign. 2,000 colony plants and 15,000 seed plants were given to the farmers, Section Officer Samikshya Paudel said. In order to expand the orange area and establish a model garden, the saplings were distributed. According to her, the province government has backed the orange promotion initiative. Consequently, more land is being used for the production of oranges. The orange portion has expanded. Rather of being 85 hectares, the orange plantation area is now 90 hectares.
