Probability of intense rain in one or two locations across five provinces

Due to monsoon winds, heavy rainfall is anticipated in the provinces of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudur Paschim today. Low pressure troughs are located closer to the north and east of Nepal. While the weather remains partly to mostly cloudy throughout, the Division says that in some mountainous areas of the provinces of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudur Pashchim, as well as in a few places throughout the rest of the country, light to moderate rain, thunder, and lightning are expected to occur.

Light to moderate snowfall is also possible in one or two places in the country’s hilly and high-hill areas. Tonight’s weather is predicted to remain partly to mainly cloudy across the country. Thunder, lightning, and mild to moderate rain are expected in some areas of the provinces of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki. In one or two places in the provinces of Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati, there is also a chance of heavy rainfall this evening.
