In ten months, 554 business firms were registered

During the first ten months of 2024/25, 554 industries proposed investment of over Rs. 200 billion, with 51 large, 40 medium, and 463 small scale industries registered. Over ten months, 28,993 people will be directly employed in domestic and foreign projects, with the tourism sector being the most attractive for investment proposals. ICT sector ranks second with 124 registered industries, followed by 95 manufacturing industries with proposed investments of Rs. 34.86 billion and 86 manufacturing-related industries with Rs. 30.95 billion.

Nepal has registered 23 energy sector industries, nine agro and forest, nine minerals, and one infrastructure sector, with a FDI commitment of Rs. 57.06 billion for the first 10 months of the fiscal year. For 576 industries, foreign investment commitments of Rs. 57.06 billion were made in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year 2024–2025. Additionally, they have promised to employ 13,843 workers in these sectors. The Department claims that in just one month of Baishak, foreign investment of just about Rs. 9.09 million was committed to the establishment of 97 industries and businesses in Nepal.
