600,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizer will imported by the government

The government has allocated Rs 28.82 billion for chemical fertilizer procurement in FY 2082/83 BS, increasing the volume to 600,000 metric tons. The Investment Board of Nepal would also expedite the necessary preparations for the establishment of the chemical fertilizer factory. According to Minister Paudel, the Organic Agriculture Promotion Programme has been given Rs 400 million in order to maintain the quality of the soil and guarantee increased agricultural productivity.
The finance minister declared that the Madan Bhandari Highway and the Mid-Hill Highway would be used to promote agricultural productivity. According to the finance minister, funds have also been set aside for the growth of cash crops, high-end fruits, animal husbandry, forest products, and the agricultural forest system, among other things.
