150 cricket players have been shortlisted for the NPL auction
The final list of 150 players eligible for the next auction has been released by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in advance of the second edition of the NPL. At first, 458 players had signed up to have their names taken into account for the auction. The eight NPL teams’ interests and the CAN technical committee’s recommendations were taken into consideration before making the final decision. Three groups have been formed from the shortlisted players.
Arjun Saud, Dilip Nath, Dev Khanal, Pawan Sarraf, Sharad Bheshwakar, Mohammad Adil Ansari, Surya Tamang, and Suman Gautam are the eight players in category ‘A’. Anil Kharel, Arjun Kumal, Deepak Bohora, Krishna Karki, and Prajwal Thapa are among the 35 players in category ‘B’. Category ‘C’ is where the remaining 107 players are allocated. The player auction for the franchise-based T20 cricket competition is set for August 9, according to CAN.
